Full mechanical overhaul
Engine, brakes, transmission, electrical system. The car must be driven again.
Complete overhaul of the mechanical systems. Disassembly, reconditioning or replacement of components, reassembly with original torque settings. Pressure, torque, stroke and clearance are all checked. A restored car must go back on the road, not only pose under the lights.

06 · Under the bonnet
- 01Disassembly and full mapping of the drivetrain
- 02Reconditioning or period-correct replacement
- 03Original torque on reassembly
- 04Final dynamic road test
A restored classic must be a car that can drive again. That is why mechanics are never a façade here: engine, gearbox, brakes and electrical system are stripped, mapped and rebuilt to original torque and clearances. Every circuit is tested, every adjustment verified on the road. We don't deliver static cars.
"A static car is furniture. Classics are to be driven."
- — principioOriginal torque
Reassembly to workshop-manual values, not nearby ones.
- — principioRecondition before replacing
When an original component can be saved, save it. Replacement is the last option.
- — principioRoad testing
No cars that only come out for photos. Everything is driven and verified.
- 01Strip and map
Engine, gearbox, differential, brakes, steering, electrics: removed, labelled, photographed.
- 02Evaluation
Wear, tolerances, material integrity. Decide what to recover and what to replace.
- 03Reconditioning
Grinding, balancing, replacement of wear parts with period-correct components.
- 04Reassembly
Original torque, correct clearances, workshop-manual assembly sequence.
- 05Testing
Bench test where applicable, then road: controlled running-in, final adjustments, complete verification.
- Can modern upgrades be installed, like updated brakes?
- When the owner requests it and where it makes sense (intensive use, safety), yes. Always documented and reversible.
- Can the mechanics be done without a full restoration?
- Yes. A car sound in the body but tired in the mechanics can come in just for that.
- Is the mileage certified after running-in?
- Yes, with intervention statement and bench/road hours logged.
